This Privacy Policy describes how KMMAssetTracker (“the App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. The App is a cloud-synced household inventory tool that lets you add photos, details, and barcodes for your personal items and access them across your devices.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account and use the App:

• Account information (such as email address and password)

• Photos you take or upload for your items

• Item details (name, category, value, notes, purchase date, location, serial numbers, etc.)

• Barcode data you scan

• Any other text or information you manually add to your inventory

The App may request access to your device’s camera (to take photos or scan barcodes) and photo library (to select existing images). These permissions are used only when you actively add or edit an item.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Create and manage your account

• Store and sync your household inventory across your devices

• Display, organize, search, and export your data

• Provide the core features of the App

We do not use your inventory data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Data Storage and Cloud Sync

Your inventory data (including photos, details, and barcodes) is stored in the cloud so it can be synced across your devices. Data is transmitted securely and stored on our servers.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or inventory data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information only in these limited cases:

• With service providers who help us operate the App (such as cloud hosting), under strict confidentiality obligations

• If required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights

• When you explicitly choose to export or share an inventory report yourself

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Access, edit, or delete individual items inside the App

• Delete your entire account and associated inventory data by contacting us

• Revoke camera or photo library permissions in your device Settings

Data Retention

We retain your account and inventory data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
